CARDIOLOGY | VASCULAR INTERVENTION

Dr. Sachar is an internationally recognized expert in the treatment of patients with cardiac, carotid, and vascular diseases.  He is especially interested in treating patients with carotid artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and critical limb ischemia. He approaches all patients compassionately with the goal of restoring their health so they can be as functional as possible. With more than 20 years of experience, he is the author of numerous publications and has published two textbooks on the treatment of patients with vascular disease. He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, and frequently holds symposia to teach complex vascular procedures to physicians, both domestic and international.  Dr. Sachar is the Physician-in-Chief of the North Carolina Heart and Vascular Hospital and co-managing Director of Rex Health Ventures.

He graduated from the University of Southern California and completed his residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, NY. He completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Peripheral Vascular Intervention at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
